Beaver AL.1, scale 1/72 Assembled model
The Beaver AL.1 was the British Army designation for the de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver. Entering service in the late 1950s, it became a cornerstone of the Army Air Corps (AAC). Its remarkable Short Take-Off and Landing (STOL) performance made it ideal for operating from small, unprepared fields in global hotspots, including Aden, Borneo, and Northern Ireland. It served faithfully in liaison, light transport, and visual reconnaissance roles until it was eventually succeeded by helicopters and the Islander.
